School Closing

Due to the threat of severe weather from Hurricane Michael, Berrien County Schools will be closed Wednesday, October 10th, for all students and faculty members. As per our school calendar, schools will remain closed Thursday and Friday, October 11 th and 12 th , for Fall Break. We will offer updates via websites, social media, and our alert system. BERRIEN COUNTY 21ST CCLC PROGRAMS BID ANNOUNCEMENT

FOR: External Evaluator

Berrien County Board of Education is seeking a highly qualified individual to contract as an independent third-party external evaluator for a state-funded 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant program. The evaluator will provide formative and summative evaluation reports, online data review, and internal program evaluation method. Program Evaluators will be responsible for onsite visits, assisting in the development of evaluation and data collection tools, quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting progress towards expected outcomes, generating specific reports, and writing formative and summative state required reports specific to 4 individual grants. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the educational field is required. Must have knowledge of evaluation models and the ability to appropriately use data for after-school educational programs. All bids must include an hourly rate for services.

The external evaluator will be retained by contract and not by MOA or MOU. The contracted evaluator must have no invested interest in the 21st CCLC program, including current or past employees of the program, employee’s family members, partners or participants.

This position involves access to personally identifiable information of children and families used for the evaluation of after-school and summer programs. The GADOE 21st CCLC requires a national background check to help ensure the safety of children and their families.
