📢 Student Safety in the Digital World 🌐 At Berrien County Schools, student safety is our top priority—not only on campus but also online. 💻 We’re committed to ensuring a secure digital environment, which is why we use a powerful content filter designed to protect our students from: 🔹 Inappropriate Content - blocking access to sites and media that aren't suitable for young audiences. 🔹 Cyberbullying Risks - minimizing exposure to harmful content or interactions that can impact students' well-being. 🔹 Online Predators - restricting access to sites that may pose risks of unwanted communication. 🔹 Malware & Viruses - safeguarding devices and networks from harmful software that could compromise information. 🔹 Distracting Websites - helping students stay focused on educational resources by filtering non-academic content. By integrating these safety measures, we're proud to give our students a safe, focused, and positive online learning environment. 🌟 Together, we’re keeping our digital spaces as secure as our classrooms! #BtheDifference

Berrien County Schools Drive-By Meal Distribution
Dear Berrien County School System Family, I pray this message finds all of our Berrien County families safe. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone as we recover from Hurricane Helene. Over the past week, I have been continually amazed at the kindness and generosity of our citizens as we come together to rebuild after this devastating storm. On behalf of myself and the Berrien County School System, I’d like to thank all of our first responders, city and county employees, volunteers, and all of the linemen who are working around the clock to meet the needs of our citizens. Their hard work does not go unnoticed, and it is so very much appreciated. As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Since the storm, I have been in constant communication with our local EMA, the Berrien County Road Dept, the power companies, and our local officials. After careful consideration of road conditions, power outages, and general cleanup efforts, the decision has been made for Berrien County Schools to remain closed for students through our scheduled Fall Break, which is set for Oct. 14-16. Students will return to school on Thursday, Oct. 17. Faculty and staff will return to school on Thursday, Oct. 10 and Friday, Oct. 11 to plan and prepare for the return of our students, and they will return again to school after Fall Break on Wednesday, Oct. 16, for an already scheduled Teacher In-service Day. During next week’s school closure, the Berrien County School Nutrition Program will be providing meals at drop off points throughout our county. We’ll share the details of this within the next few days. As we navigate through this difficult time, I appreciate your patience and cooperation as we move forward through this together. Berrien County folks are strong, and we will recover better than ever! We look forward to welcoming our students back on Oct. 17. #BtheDifference Sincerely, Robin K. Marcrum, Supt.
