It is the time of the year again. We are are excited to open up the nomination process for Teacher Of The Year!
Berrien County has remarkable educators! We would like to recognize those teachers who have gone above and beyond their normal duties and responsibilities to make a difference in the lives of Berrien County children and the community at large. In addition to our internal selection criteria such as years of experience, certificate clearance, etc., we are looking for a teacher who has outstanding character, inspires ALL students, has a proven track record of high student achievement, and has contributed to both the school and community.
Please note: Anonymous forms will NOT be considered for nomination. Nominations made by immediate family members will NOT be considered. Nominations made by students below 5th grade will need to include the parent's information.
1- Must have a clear renewable certificate – no NNT or NT are applicable for consideration
2- Five years experience, three of which are in Berrien County
3. Any grade level PK-12, and any content including Media Specialist except Counselors or Administrators. Instructional Coaches are not included unless he/she spends “the majority of their time teaching students in a classroom setting.”
4.- Must be full-time; no 49% teachers
The deadline to nominate a teacher is April 11th, 2024.
