Superintendent

Dear Students, Parents, Educators, and Friends of the Berrien County School District,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! As a teacher, principal, and now superintendent, those words carry a great deal of meaning for me. They serve as a reminder that the opening of every new school year offers us amazing opportunities to make a difference in the lives of students. It is my hope that we allow these words to inspire in us a renewed sense of hope and enthusiasm as we work collaboratively to assure that each child in our district receives the best education possible.

It is my privilege to serve as your Superintendent and an honor to work with an outstanding faculty and staff who make great things happen. As a district, we place a resounding emphasis on teaching and learning and on creating a seamless educational experience for our students PreK-12th grade. Teamwork is central to our core vision; therefore, we commit to building a strong and continuing partnership with parents and the entire community. Additionally, honest and transparent communication, professionalism in all we say and do, and high expectations and accountability for ourselves, our students, and others are a few of our system's core values. I am confident that as we work together, we can build on our successes and continue moving the district forward.

Berrien County is a great place to live and provides excellent educational opportunities. Our five schools serve approximately 3,200 students in grades PreK-12. We hope this site will provide you with up-to-date information and help you to familiarize yourself with our school system and the individual schools that compose it.

Thank you for allowing me to serve you! If ever I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to call upon me. Go Rebels!

Robin K. Marcrum
